Sweet 60

2012. My Mom turned 60, though she does not look like it. She is a lady in every way (but also knows how to use carpentry tools). She likes flowers, nature and pretty little things. So I made her a sweet, lovely, and beautiful birthday celebration. Lots of flowers- in pink and white, chiffon and pretty prints.

The table centerpieces were small arrangements of carnations and bunch of asters in tall vases. The small vases were actually drinking glasses that cost Php 12 each. :) The tall ones are condiment containers. Each costs around Php 40. The real tall vases cost much more.

Found this cloth with a pretty print in my favorite fabric and craft store. (Baguio has a few of these so it's not hard to choose. :)) I used it as a table runner.

I made this psuedo-abaca balls with yarn, lots of glue, corn starch and water and balloons.

Mounted them with ribbons and pink flowers (forgot the name) as a "ceiling" decor. My peg for this part was the Twilight wedding.

Placed lots of simple floral arrangements all over the venue.

For the photobooth, I wanted it to look like an ethereal swing. :D
